Michelle Collins has been creating art since she was a little girl. She got her start creating gifts for family and friends, and she soon began selling her creations at festivals and art shows. In the course of her journey through life, she has seen the power of art firsthand. The very act of creation itself is transformative. She has watched her students stretch, grow, and try new (sometimes scary) things. She loves helping her students discover that they have the permission to be whatever they want to be. They learn that there is no "wrong" in art, so they are free to take chances and experiment with new ideas.
Michelle has a special affinity for working with people who, for any number of reasons, have had limited exposure to art. She often works with elderly students or those who have to face extra difficulties in their daily lives. The rewards of introducing these students to the joys of art are that much sweeter.
